Eva Geatti

Walks, recognitions, mappings and creations: the workshop takes place outdoors, walking, discovering places the participants had never explored or observing with new eyes places they know well. Eva Geatti guides the participants in choosing “sensitive” spaces and locations to create a mapping and, eventually, a catalogue of the open space. Unique corners observed and experienced in a new way become places where young people, with the company’s collaboration, become the authors of one or more actions and images that can be realistic, fictional, intertextual or otherwise and that inhabit the chosen spaces. The elaboration and the creation of these actions aim at creating an archive of the present by writing a story that inhabits the locations visited.
Henry David Thoreau’s Walking is a guide for trying to be outside with an attentive and contemplative attitude.

BIO

Eva Geatti is a performer, builder and artist. In 2002 she founded Cosmesi, a research group with which she collaborates on projects and theatre performances. She worked as an actress and performer for Masque Teatro, Motus, Ateliersi, Teatrino Clandestino and Jerome Bel. She also collaborated with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, IUAV, Santarcangelo Festival, Officina Margherita and Angelo Mai. In 2021, she became an associate artist of Spazio Kor in Asti.
