Nightwalks with Teenagers
A group of teenagers guide an adult audience on a night walk to discover unusual, intimate and familiar spaces, places and neighbourhoods. Nightwalks with Teenagers brings together teenagers and adults who wouldn’t otherwise meet to experience a shared time and space: it offers adults the opportunity to socialise with young people in a safe environment where everyone can let themselves go and where silence creates moments of contemplation.
The project of Canadian company Mammalian Diving Reflex takes place simultaneously in various locations worldwide and is based on the gesture of walking as a practice able to strengthen social relations. FUORI! invited Mammalian Diving Reflex as a resident company in Bologna during the whole duration of the project to realise several Nightwalks in various places of the city and with different groups of teenagers, who were invited thanks to the connections with schools and other organisations operating in the area. The project Nightwalks with Teenagers is produced in Bologna in collaboration with artists Agnese Cornelio, Eva Geatti and Manuela De Meo / Sementerie Artistiche.
