            Percurso

            public action

            We learn to be vigilant in public places after dark, we learn to hold our keys between our fingers like little knives in the face of fear when we are returning home at night, we learn to swallow our tears when someone makes a comment in the street about our bodies, we learn to look brave, busy, or invisible so as not to be bothered in the streets, we learn to call someone when we are in a cab so that they know our route in case the worst happens, we learn how difficult it is to tell the story of what happened or of what we fear will happen, because we also learn that we should keep silent about them, after all they never stop happening. How do we create conditions so that the stories that populate our lives and our imagination about fear and abuse, can leave the private space and gain the public space, a space that has always been designed so that we are not part of it? In this journey we populate some streets with the noises of our stories. What would it be like to imagine a scenario in which fear could change sides?
