During five meetings on themes related to the body, different forms of violence and the relationship between body, adolescent gaze and space, performer and choreographer Francesca Penzo guides young people on a journey to discover ways of reappropriating spaces and bodies through activities and practices related to movement. The workshop includes theoretical inputs, images from the world of visual arts and meetings with guests from different backgrounds to explore the themes of African descent, queer culture and ableism, pursuing a perspective on gender-based violence that is not exclusively white, heteronormative and/or ableist and binary.
Francesca Penzo is a performer, choreographer, author, educator and co-founder of the company Fattoria Vittadini. She is the artistic director of the project Fattoria Indaco and president of Micce Aps. Penzo was also the art director of the Festival Th!nk P!nk in Milan at Spazio Fattoria, Cantieri Meticci in Bologna and TEN Teatro Eliseo in Nuoro. With practices related to dance and the performing arts, she builds spaces of sharing and activism, concentrating on intersectional feminism and the alliances among bodies, focusing on the need for access and equity of opportunity.
